Daly City's housing stock spans 5% pre-1940, 40% 1940-1960, 30% 1960-1985. Architectural styles range from 1940s-50s Westlake-style Doelger tract homes with uniform stucco facades to postwar Victory homes. Each era and style presents different roofing requirements — from material compatibility to structural considerations. Our crews know what to expect before they arrive on site.
Roofing Across Daly City Neighborhoods
Local planning starts with the site, neighborhood context, access, and applicable city review.
Southern Hills
Southern Hills homeowners frequently choose Hamilton Exteriors for roofing. High wind demands 130+ mph wind-rated shingles and 6-nail patterns. With Daly City's Coldest and foggiest Peninsula city: summer highs 58-68°F, winter lows 42-48°F, material selection in Southern Hills requires local expertise.
St. Francis Heights
In St. Francis Heights, homes are predominantly postwar Victory homes. Fog keeps roofs damp — algae-resistant shingles strongly recommended. Our crews are familiar with St. Francis Heights's architectural character and building requirements.
Westlake
Westlake is Daly City's signature neighborhood of 1940s-50s Henry Doelger homes with distinctive pastel facades. Roofing materials must handle persistent fog and moisture. Hamilton Exteriors selects high-moisture-resistance systems for Westlake's dense housing.
Broadmoor
Broadmoor is an unincorporated enclave within Daly City with its own zoning. Roofing projects here may involve different permit processes. We navigate Broadmoor's unique requirements and install systems suited to the fog belt climate.
Serramonte
Serramonte homes built in the 1960s-70s are reaching the age where full roof replacements become necessary. With Daly City's persistent fog and wind, we recommend impact-resistant shingles with enhanced wind ratings.

Roof City did an excellent job on my roof. They were professional, fast, efficient, and clean. They over- delivered on their promise to do a five- star job in two days, which included all materials and permits needed. They deserve a 10 star rating 🌟 ✨ 💫🌟✨💫🌟✨💫☀️🙌🏾😀👍🏾

The team dis an excellent job on our roof. Carlos and his team are punctual, communicative and kept the worksite clean throughout the project. There was a slight delay in the beginning but the whole process felt smooth and stress free. Alex was generous enough to add in extra service worth $759. Highly recommended, honest roofing work.

They offered a reasonable price for my roof replacement, and overall I’m satisfied with the work. The main issue was that it took quite a while to finish because of the permit process. At one point, I was worried that the roofing materials left at the property might be stolen, so I texted them about it. They responded to my message right away, which I appreciated, and luckily nothing was stolen. Overall, the price was fair, they were responsive when I had concerns, and the project was completed.
